Fairphone
We teamed up with Fitzroy Amsterdam to bring this Fairphone commercial to life. Fairphone, a Dutch brand at the forefront of sustainable technology, wanted to unveil their refreshed brand identity and new logo in a special way – and we think they absolutely nailed it.
Artbox played a major role in this project, with our very own Geert Jansen co-directing alongside Jorrit Stollman. Meanwhile, the team at a good beer brought Mobi, the lovable waste-collecting robot to life. All the way from the R&D character design phase to a fully animated friendly character.
In the end, everything came together in a dynamic edit showcasing the power of sustainable technology.

The first part of the character R&D phase focussed on rough sketches and creating various character shapes and style options.
Once the basic shape was decided, the finer details could be explored. From how many wheels Mobi could have, all the way to the smaller facial features.
Once the character details were finalised, it came time to bring Mobi to life and move away from illustration, towards 3D modelling.
Creating a realistic robot in 3D that could then be animated and integrated into the live action shots!
The shoot took place at the beautiful Bimhuis with over 30 members of cast and crew on set for the day. It was an amazing day of creativity, collaboration and fun.
